iPhone 17 Pro Max Rumored To Feature 48MP Telephoto Camera, Will Be Designed To Interact With The Apple Vision Pro

Future iPhone models will feature enhanced telephoto cameras, as Apple intends to introduce upgraded sensors. As per the analysis of an expert, the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to come with a high-powered 48MP sensor instead of its predecessor's meagre 12MP tetraprism unit featured in the iPhone15 Pro Max. The new and improved camera is geared towards capturing highly-detailed zoomed images at better resolutions than ever before while simultaneously being compatible with Apple Vision Pro whose launch date has been set for early20204 by reports on this matter[1].

There are rumors that Apple may introduce a 10x tetraprism lens on the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

According to a research note by analyst Jeff Pu from the investment firm Haitong International Securities, Apple plans on enhancing the telephoto camera for its iPhone 17 Pro Max. The flagship model slated for release in late 2025 will allegedly boast a top-of-the-line 48MP telephoto camera optimized specifically for the Apple Vision Pro, with Largan Precision being named as their supplier. However, Pu did not specify how this upgraded sensor would impact functionality with regards to mixed-reality headset integration. The report was noted by MacRumors.

It is speculated that the iPhone 17 Pro Max's higher megapixel count could potentially enhance viewing capability through an improved telephoto lens when paired with Apple Vision Pro, yet this should not be taken as a confirmed feature. Further speculation suggests that Apple may introduce custom Wi-Fi 7 chips to decrease reliance on Broadcom for both the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max cameras.

Compared to Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E, the upgraded wireless speeds of the new Wi-Fi 7 standard are significant. With lower latency also being a feature, Apple Vision Pro can seamlessly interact with media consumed on the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that next year's iPhones (16 Pro and 16Pro Max) will have improved tetraprism cameras; however, he does not provide specific details about them. Therefore it is possible that first in line for this technology could be featured in Apple's flagship device - iPhone 17 ProMax which may include a telephoto lens capable of producing images up to48 megapixels.

It has been rumoured that Apple may add a 10x tetraprism lens to an upcoming iPhone model. However, it remains unclear if this technology will be included in the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Additional speculation surrounds potential changes to Apple's supply chain with LG Innotek possibly being replaced by ICT, owned by Luxshare Precision. All of these reports indicate that Apple is dedicated to incorporating lossless zoom into its high-end iPhones. Customers who have not yet upgraded their hardware will likely anticipate future releases from the company with excitement.
