PlayStation U-turns on removal of Discovery content people had paid for

Due to negative feedback from fans, Sony has announced that it will cease deleting Discovery content from PlayStation libraries.

Sony has released a statement confirming that it has reached an "updated licensing agreement" with Warner Bros., the owner of Discovery. This is to ensure that all previously purchased content remains accessible for a minimum period of 30 months, as reported by GamesIndustry.biz.

The legal website of Sony has been updated to confirm that "the intended removal of Discovery content on 31st December, 2023" will not take place and assures users about the same.

Sony expressed gratitude for the ongoing support and feedback.

Prior to now, individuals who own PlayStation gaming systems were notified via email that certain Discovery material would inevitably become unattainable and unavailable for access beginning on the first day of January 2024- despite whether or not said user had previously purchased and fully paid for such content.

Many TV shows and movies were poised to be impacted by the cull, but perusing through the roster doesn't reveal many that catch my attention. Perhaps Shark Week? However, My Big Fat Pet Makeover Season 1 is most likely not on my list.
