Android Auto will have Google Assistant summarize your messages with AI

While driving, it is acceptable to listen to one or two messages being read aloud. However, hearing numerous responses from a group conversation can cause disturbance. Android Auto offers a solution by utilizing Google Assistant to "summarize your messages" with the help of AI particularly during active discussions.

The assistant is equipped to provide message summaries using artificial intelligence, which may contain errors. You have the option of disabling this feature in Android Auto Settings at any time. Are you interested in allowing the assistant to summarize your hectic conversations?

While setting up, Google cautions that the summaries generated might contain errors as they are produced using artificial intelligence. The message pertains to SMS texts and RCS chats facilitated by the Google Messages app.

Below, we have enabled Android Auto Settings along with the Developer options for Android Auto in the screenshot next to it. You can turn this feature on or off by accessing the aforementioned settings.

The Google app version 14.52, presently in beta mode, contains phrases referencing this functionality; however, its launch date is unknown.

Google provides a range of products that offer summary features, however the most similar comparison can be made with Google Chat's ability to recap Spaces and enable quick updates on group discussions.
